Terms of Service
Last updated November 6, 2026
These terms cover your use of Phone in Bio (“Phone in Bio,” “we,” “us”), including phoneinbio.netlify.app, the sites we host for clients, and the client dashboard. By creating an account, paying for a plan, or using a Phone in Bio site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
1. What Phone in Bio is
Phone in Bio builds and hosts link-in-bio websites that look and work like a phone. Clients get a site, a web address, and a dashboard to edit it. Visitors (“fans”) can browse a site, sign up for updates, and send photos through the fan camera when the client turns those on.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 to buy a plan or hold a client account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password private. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has gotten in.
- One account per client site, unless we agree otherwise.
3. Plans, payments and cancelling
- Self-serve: a one-time $350 setup fee, then $30/month. Done-for-you: a one-time $450 setup fee, then $30/month.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- The monthly plan renews automatically every month until you cancel. By starting a plan you authorize us to charge your card each month.
- You can cancel anytime from your dashboard (Billing). You keep access until the end of the month you already paid for, and you won’t be charged again. We don’t give partial refunds for unused time.
- The setup fee covers the work of setting up your phone and isn’t refundable once that work has started. If you cancel before we start, contact us and we’ll refund it.
- If a payment fails, we’ll ask you to update your card. If it isn’t fixed, editing is paused and we may take your site offline.
- We may change prices. We’ll tell you at least 30 days before a change affects your plan, and you can cancel before it does.
- Prices don’t include taxes, which may be added where required.
4. Your content
Your photos, videos, music links, text and other material (“your content”) stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy, resize and show your content as needed to run your site and the service. That permission ends when your content is removed, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time.
You promise that:
- You own your content or have permission to use it, including photos of other people, artwork, logos and music.
- Your content and links don’t break the law or anyone else’s rights.
If someone tells us your content infringes their rights, we may remove it and let you know.
5. Fan sign-ups and your marketing
If you turn on the Sign Up app, we collect fan details on your behalf and let you download them. You are responsible for how you use that list, including following email and text-message laws (such as CAN-SPAM and the TCPA in the US). In particular:
- Only email or text fans who ticked the matching box.
- Honor opt-outs (like replies of STOP) quickly, in whatever tool you send from.
- Keep the consent wording on your Sign Up app accurate to what you actually send.
- Don’t sell or share your fans’ details without their consent.
Phone in Bio doesn’t send marketing emails or texts for you.
6. Fan camera
Photos fans send stay hidden until you approve them. You’re responsible for what you approve. We may remove any photo that breaks these terms.
7. Things you can’t do
- Post content that’s illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes violence.
- Impersonate someone or mislead people about who you are.
- Use a site for scams, phishing, malware or spam.
- Try to get into accounts, data or systems that aren’t yours, test our security without our written permission, or interfere with the service.
- Scrape, copy or resell the service, or flood forms with automated submissions.
We may remove content or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where it makes sense, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
8. Our service
The Phone in Bio design, code and software belong to us. Your plan gives you the right to use them for your site while your plan is active. We may update or change features over time. We work to keep sites online, but we can’t promise the service will never be interrupted. We rely on providers such as Netlify (hosting and accounts) and Stripe (payments).
9. Ending your plan
If you cancel or your plan ends, your editor is paused and we may take your site offline. Ask us within 30 days if you’d like a copy of your content or your fan list. After that we may delete it.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that the service will meet your needs or produce any particular results, such as more fans, streams or sales.
11. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Phone in Bio won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Indemnity
You agree to cover our costs if someone makes a claim against us because of your content, how you used your fan list, or your breaking these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll let clients know by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
